Guys,

I just tried to cancel my hulu paid membership account and was offered a free 1 month hulu plus credit to stay.

Here's the step:

1. Login to your Hulu Plus account.
2. Click into your account.
3. Click Cancel Subscription.
4. Pick Too Expensive as the reason.
5. That's where they offered me to take the offer of free 1 month extension of my membership for me to stay.

Enjoy!

Yeah I'm on no-ads and all it does is offer me to move to the cheaper plan.

Thanks OP. Worked like a charm. It certainly is a mistake for Hulu to have this set as default (not that I have any problems with it). Have done it a few times before, and it still worked. Try this again in a few months again, til they catch up with us. I had tried it for consecutive months, and did not work. So I assume that there is a minimum time required before repeating this.

I did a one month free trial a while back and they keep sending me emails asking me if I want to get another 2 weeks free trial. Is there a way I could make it a month instead?

Did you click on "Continue with cancellation" after choosing "Too expensive"? I think OP left out that step. You need to click on that to get this offer. I am also on no-ads plan, and it worked for me. I think it should work for everyone, unless they have redeemed this offer recently. Let us know if you doesn't work. If not, sorry. Then, OP should change the title to YMMV.
