As a employee at a shop that is an authorized dealer for many brands, im familiar with most if not all models out there. If you have a question about any single one, just ask!

Remember: Always buy from an AUTHORIZED dealer!

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I know the seller is an Authorized Dealer?
All you have to do is visit the website of the product you are planning on purchasing and there will be a tab named Dealer Locator. All you do is click on that and enter your zip code and it will list all authorized dealers in a certain mileage radius.

How do I know what will fit my car?
Simply ask me what your car is and I can tell you what size speakers, radio, etc... will fit. Remember, the cool thing about car audio is customizing something that didn't come from the factory. We can make your car special and outfitted to fit your needs!

Im not looking to spend too much, can I have a decent sound system on a budget?
You sure can, ask me what your looking for and im sure I can whip up a system for you that will fit your budget. Good sound doesnt require you to spend good money Wink

Yes they will fit and I prefer the Sony's over those Kenwood models, although the difference would probably be negligible.
Thanks so much!

I ordered Sony!

Hey,
I would pick the Sony's out of those three. They will fit the front. Assuming you have the sedan or coupe, they will not fit the rear.

Hi Bay!
I have Honda Accord 2007 4-Door Sedan EX model and it's about to complete its 5 year warranty in next month. Right now it has only in-dash audio CD player with FM/AM radio as well, but no GPS and no MP3 or USB support.

Question:
How much of money do you think I need to spend to get these functionality: in-dash GPS, Audio/Video DVD/CD playback including MP3 files and USB port to play my music player as well.

Which brand do you recommend?
I am thinking to spend upto $500 but may go another $100 more if I can get a solid quality product. Is there something out there which may fit into my budget?

Thanks in a lot in advance. Your help to slickdeals community is very useful to all others.

Vehicle- 1998, TOYOTA, 4RUNNER
Parts purchased/considering- model numbers of the parts - Not quite sure what I should get.
Goal- To get rid of my stock speakers / deck and to have a bass. I don't need the top of the line gear. I plan on doing this myself.
So far this is what I think I need:
2- 6-3/4'' Front speakers.
2- 5-1/4'' Rear speakers.
1- Deck with mp3/usb
1- 5 Chan amp
1- Sub
4 gague wire from the bat to the amp.
1 fuse for the amp power.
I was thinking of getting an EQ for the 2nd DIN

My price range is maybe 500-800 max

Thank you for your help, if you have time.

Hey BayArea,
I just purchased the Sony 6.5" for $15 from walmart.com link [walmart.com]
I have a 96 Accord LX, I tested them and the holes do not line up correctly, is there a bracket I can purchase or is drilling required?
Thanks and let me know whenever you can.
Appreciations for helping out the less knowledgeable!

Hey, I was wondering, will these speakers fit my 1997 Honda civic 4dr Sedan in the rear?

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Boss-6-...W/11968854

As far as I know, the rear measurement is 6" X 9" and the depth is 1.8.

Hi,
The real question isn't if they would fit or not, but why you are even considering 'Boss' speakers?

haha I have a walmart gift card, and couldn't find any Sony 6 X 9's, I dont know much about speakers so if you can recommend better ones, I'd definitely appreciate that.

Would these be any better or the boss ones? Im just looking for something temporary to replace the stock ones

I've got an older Honda with an aftermarket AutoMate AM5 [directed.com] security system.

There are couple settings that have irritated me for a long time but one that has become a bigger problem as I'm having some problems with 2 of the door lock actuators. I want to disable Ignition controlled unlocking to reduce the number of times the power locks are actuated to hopefully extend their life. I can't seem to get into the feature programming menu, I follow the instructions on page 22 of the install menu but noting happens.

Is this characteristic of a Directed alarm with feature programming lockout or might it be something else? I know when it was installed, the installer programmed it manually using these menus. Would the installer really have been enough of a dick to pull out the bitwriter programmer just to lock it down (I know they didn't use it for the rest of the config?

Any ideas?

Hey guys,

I figure some of you turkeys might know this - are any of you aware of any Android phones that offer line out audio through a single dock? I have an iPhone 4 that I use a dock with line out and then a patch cable from the charger to RCA aux inputs to the rear of my head unit, but with my next phone I'm looking to get away from Apple if possible. Headphone audio to the receiver is a non-starter for me.

Are any of you aware of any such Android based phone? BTW, my head unit is ancient but works fine, so it doesn't offer bluetooth (and I'm not looking to replace it.)

Thanks

Hi,

I have a Viper alarm system on my minivan. Its about 8 years old. the two remotes have been giving me problems (will not open the doors). I changed the battery and still have issues. I assume I need to replace them. I have a question:

1) How do I program the replacement remote? the model # on the remote is 473V.

Its cheaper to buy through Amazon ($28) rather than directly from Viper ($80). Thank you.
