GC has a standard LP for $1,999. Pretty decent deal. Standard shipping is free but tax probably applies in most states but someone else may weigh in. Perhaps not. One is on Reverb now for $3,100.

This is a 2015 model. In 2015 Gibson made a lot of changes to the Les Paul that were very negatively reviewed, such that almost all changes were undone in the 2016 model. These include: Les Paul 100 scribble on head stock / weird Dr. Evil version of Les Paul hologram on back of headstock / brass zero nut that fails (dents) and has to be replaced with a titanium nut / wider neck to accommodate auto tuners that have been known to fail live and cannot be tuned manually. Some people that buy these guitars like them but this is a case of buyer beware.

This model does not have all of those features since it is a commemorative version. Also, the robot tuners can be tuned manually.

Is this correct? I've been told numerous times that the robot tuners cannot be manually tuned.

My LP Standard has the robot tuners and I fine tune it by hand occasionally.

This is also addressed in the Tronical FAQ if you would like some confirmation. http://www.tronical.com/faqs/

That being said, I think this guitar has traditional tuners.

My feedback on the gforce/tronical tuners is that most of the negative press on these is overblown. That being said, I also wouldn't go out of my way to get one either. If you switch tunings a lot with one guitar it can be convenient. At the end of the day it takes such a small amount of time to tune a guitar that a don't see much benefit personally.

I have a Gibson with these tuners. they can be manually turned. you'll just need to turn a lot more because they are something like 50:1 gear ratio. these probably don't have those tuners anyway.

If the pictures in the Guitar Center web site linked to this ad are correct then the guitar has all the negatives I mentioned plus the weird yellow case.
