Even though it's in the OP this is going to get asked repeatedly:
4K Blu-ray Player (not your current regular 1080P Blu-ray Player is required to play the 4K Blu-rays).
Also your TV has to be 4K & support the standards required to play 4K Blu-rays with your 4K Blu-ray Player to take advantage of the extra resolution.

YES, THESE DO (ALSO) HAVE the regular 1080P Standard Blu-ray discs included + a Standard 1080 (HDX/HD) Digital Copy - Not an UHD Digital Copy. - SO YES, you can still get this and play something in your current Blu-ray players and ROFL "future proof" yourself; but would be better off actually waiting until you own all the equipment and buying future sales at lower prices than now.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The new Xbox Ones slated for arrival next month include a 4K Blu-ray Player. if you consider the value of the Xbox One for gaming along with the high cost of the stand alone 4K Blu-ray players, it should help to bring player costs down quickly.

In order for you to watch a 4K UHD Blu-ray, yes your TV needs to be 4k compatible also.

The original is about 2 H 30 M. Extended version is 10 extra minutes according to a review I read on Amazon. As I understand it, it also comes with bonus BTS footage.
