Then take three ac1200 WAP's and wire Those to your routers with 1.2gbps+ PowerLine adapters in an equidistant triangle layout for maximum coverage. This will cost you approximately seventeen times more money for faster wifi on your Hughes Net satellite Internet provider. Wink

reviews will always be mixed, seems folks who need extenders always have issues.

Thanks for sharing I was just looking for the $15 linksys clearance extender at Walmat.
Amazon have it for the same price after rebate, who is faster in rebates? Maybe its tax vs 5% discover cashback for Amazon.

don't get it, get ac1200+ extenders instead. hook two routers together by 5ghz only, then have the extender broadcast 2.4 & 5ghz.(or just 2.4 GHz)

don't bother yourself with range extenders, just get an asus n300 router and set up two wifi networks.

Thanks OP for the post! Got this to extend my rt- n66u. My router is at the front of the house so the coverage just barely couldn't make it to the end, especially not the backyard, so I am excited to see if this can boost the range to the yard.

For people who have wired outlets but need to extend WiFi signal, here is a smart option: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/Con...aming.aspx

How to set this up? Does it need to connect to another router via wire?
