Man that is such a great deal! Awesome CCW gun! I HATE that we cant get them in CA anymore. Used ones around here go for $500-600! The rest of you are lucky you can get these so cheap. Id buy a couple of these if I could!

Ground Shipping for me was $17 plus the FFL cost of $25. My LGS sells this for $299 so not much savings for me and I would get an hour of range time with the purchase.

Still thumbs up for posting a gun deal and a great price especially of you can pick it up.

Has CA specifically outlawed this model? what a horrible state.

Not exactly. CA has what they call a DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns and we can only buy pistols that are new if they are on that list. The LCP is not. Only LEOs can purchase handguns that arent on that list. So the rest of us can only look at the LEO sections in stores and drool. Private Party Transfers (new or used) we can but the mark up is high. We have our own firearm economy here due to the silly gun laws we have to work with.

CA has roster of approved firearms for sale. Guns not on roster can be sold only to law enforcement or via private party transfer if a gun is already in CA. Also, people moving to CA can bring guns not on the roster if they comply with other laws (10 round magazine, etc.). They can then sell guns to CA residents if they want. That, and buying from police officers are basically the only two ways to get off-roster guns.

For those with a Field & Stream store nearby, they have this gun for the same price.

Plus they also have the custom for $299.99.

Anyone know if Bass Pro Shops stores pm's competitor gun prices? I have a few gc's to burn and would rather use those, provided BPS carries this same gun.

So if I lived near California, why couldn't I just buy several of these and bring them to California and sell them? Form 4473, which you fill out every time you buy a gun at an FFL dealer, asks if you are the actual buyer, i.e. not buying it on behalf of someone else, but as long as you don't already have a buyer in mind it seems like you could truthfully answer "yes" to that question, and it would be legal. Any internet lawyers care to comment?
I live on the other end of the country and I'm not considering doing this, I'm just curious about the legality.

You can do private FFL transfer only within state of residence. You can bring guns to another state to sell them only if you are actually moving to that state to become a resident. If you are a FFL dealer, you can sell to someone in CA only via a FFL in CA who are restricted by roster of approved firearms. The only way to get off roster guns in CA is via private party transfer of guns already in CA. Additional off roster guns can be brought by new CA residents moving from out of state or law enforcement officials.

Bass Pro has it for $230, so fees might not make this too great of a deal. If Palmetto is local, go for it.

Pretty much nailed it.
