I just bought this from adorama on eBay for the same price. How do you get sound? It arrived today. Looks gorgeous but no sound and no visible speaker grills.

The speakers are on the bottom in terms of location. Volume is controlled by using the little joystick on the underside-move it left and right. Beyond that if yours isn't working I don't know what to tell you without knowing your setup.

Can you tell me the actual screen width & height and whether it allows for VESA mount? TIA

Really enjoying this monitor, picked it up the last sale and would recommend it. I don't have an AMD videocard yet to try Freesync but everything else about it I'm happy with. If you have an Nvidia card and try to run it at 75hz or anything else greater than 60 it has frame skips/stutter. So Nvidia users need to stick with 60hz for a smooth experience. There's some backlight bleed but that's normal for most IPS displays, no dead pixels on mine. Viewing angles are okay, colors begin to distort sooner than I'd like but still much better than any TN displays. Colors were a little on the cool side, so I recalibrated it using my Colormunki and it now matches my Apple 8bit Cinemadisplay monitor even being only 6bit+frc dithering. The stand is sturdy but the plastic has give so the monitor will wobble/sway if you don't have the most solid desk surface. Size wise the height of it is pretty much the same as a 24" 16:9 display. Also note it does not include a display port cable, only a single HDMI cable.

No, 75Hz is the limit at 2560x1080, and even then, it's only smooth at that refresh if you have a freesync enabled AMD card. It stutters and skips frames on the BlurBusters UFO frameskip test if you overclock it to anything over 60Hz on Nvidia. I have not tried lower resolutions though, it appears according to the manual [lg.com] it may support some overclocking at 1280x1024 but who'd use that res on this?
