Hey, this is my computer. Make sure you ditch the hdd for an ssd (it's a little tricky to upgrade but doable if you have an hour and are good at following youtube instructional s =D) I went ahead and stuck another 8gb ram while I was at it, which isn't as hard to get to as the hd but still takes some doing.

How is the battery life and how is the performance? I am looking at this for virtualization and eye'ing the i7-6700hq, but can't find a good one for under $900

Oh, and some people, like myself have an AMEX offer for $50 off.

You can simply configure this Laptop with Core i7-6700HQ by paying $110 extra. regarding battery life, what I gathered from various forums and reviews, these new Pavilion models has good battery life because of having a 62WHr battery. I don't have hands on experience with these models.

Wow OP. You must really what people to buy this thing because you yourself posted it for $20 less just a week and half ago. Even then it was a repost of another thread that had it at $575.

Are those deals are available anymore? What do you trying to say here, say one laptop's price is $800 and it went to a sale of $650 once and then came back to normal price. So as per your opinion, we are not allowed to post any other deals unless it is lesser or equal to $650?
This this is your logic then you better shut your mouth and if you have any issue with the post, do report it. And I remember your post in my thread where you were shouting mine as repost. But the thing is that on that time the $575 was expired and it was available at the price I have posted. So it was not a repost as you can compare a live deal with a expired deal and claim the live one as expired.

I'm not going to get into a bickering match with you but there's two clear points that need to be made -

1. I realize it's not fair to compare expired, lower prices to current ones, but as you know this laptop has been floating around $600 for weeks and weeks now. The only thing that has improved the price are the $15-$10 coupons that keep popping up and some very slight HP discounts. At $610 this is the highest price it's been posted at in the last month and is therefore not a good deal. Very soon the price will certainly dip a little again and or a higher discount coupon will be available. C'mon man. If you're trying to argue that every week this laptop goes up $10-$20 or down $10-$20 we need a new thread for it (like you're currently doing), then I think you'll find a lot of people that disagree with that logic. And don't use the $650 to retail $800 comparison. It's ridiculous and not even remotely close to the deal here. We're talking about differences of ten of dollars across a week or two, not hundreds across several weeks or even months.

2. You posted your previous thread on this laptop 24 hours after the popular rated thread. It was still live and your thread was therefore a repost (and more expensive). If you don't believe me just go back and look at the time stamps. You may also want to read my repost comment on your thread as well because it certainly wasn't "shouting". You probably won't read it this is exactly all I said, "Weird. Wouldn't let me mark this as a repost, only allowed a downvote. Anyway, this is a repost.". If that seems like aggressive shouting and you somehow got offended by that, you seriously need to take a few breaths and chill.

I understand your point but the thing is $575 was not available that time, I checked before posting my $590 deal. Now Moderators made the thread as Expired after I posted my $590 deal does not mean that the $575 deal was actually available on that time.

I usually get 4-6 hours of battery life depending on what I'm doing. Maybe a little less if I'm doing something like playing skyrim or more if I'm just web browsing. The performance fits my needs for some light - mid gaming and video editing, streaming and office applications.
