Don't people say this website is super sketchy? Not trying to put something out there that isn't true or crap on the deal, I just swear I've heard bad things about this site and am looking for clarification before purchase.

Thanks

Tried three times just now (9:10a EST) with two different browsers, and both attempts ended with website failure:

I would never give Rakuten my CC information.

It was credit card fraud a few years ago on SD.

Just don't use a credit card with Rakuten - use PayPal.

But in order to get the 20% off discount, you have to use the MasterPass at checkout.

Still sketchy. had my card info stolen shortly after using them about a year ago.

I was still new to slickdeals. people were posting rakuten links regularly and no one said anything in the comments about how terrible the company was. just saw comments like "great deal".

personally, I wouldn't give them business again, even with PayPal, even if these products were a dollar. A website that regularly produces fraud should be banned from here.

MasterPass (and Visa Checkout, etc.) doesn't provide your CC number to the seller, that's the whole point of the service.

Should be worth pointing out that $37 per card is a pretty good deal IMO, based on my observation of watching this particular item for the last two years.

$40 per card would be considered a 'meh' deal, but seems to be the common discount that can be had every other month or so.

I like to shoot for $35 a card, but that is a bit rare.

So with the PS4's success, days of $30 cards are pretty much over?

I believe so. I only remember seeing them for 30 the year the ps4 was released. We should've stocked up lol. I only bought 2 years worth at the time
