$67.99 w/no tax from Jet.com with code TRIPLE15.

I bought a 2DS for myself back in March and love it. A great deal even at the $79.99 retail price. Get some DS games on the cheap and an old school Pokemon game from the eshop for $10.

Won't let me check out. I get an error page with a robot after I click "place order" (using masterpass)...it says..."We'll be back shortly!!"

Same here but think I would just rather get a standard 3ds.

Well, if you're like me and seem to drop things you shouldn't, this is designed for that. I'm not saying throw it across the room, but ours has survived a couple years. It belongs to my six year old son who is careful, but he has dropped it more than a few times. And my two year old twins have been known to run off with it.

I'm also getting the "We'll be back shortly" Ratuken message after trying to login.

My chrome extensions conflicted with logging in with masterpass, but found logging in to it via incognito helped.

Guess I'll try later, or skip getting it entirely. Would be nice to play the old pokemon, get the new ones, and use street pass on this inbetween my pokemon go runs

Considering a lot of 3DS models seem to go for $150+ on craigslist and amazon, this is a really good deal I think. Total was something like $64.99 for me

Do not overlook this model if you looking to get into the 3DS library without breaking the bank. My only worry is future games with take more advantage of the New 3DS hardware and will either not run on the 2DS or perform less. But the most intense game as of right now MH4 plays perfectly on the 2DS. Its funny coming from a Vita which has better hardware but I was still impressed with the graphics of these 3DS games.

I'm also getting the "We'll be back shortly!!" message. Anyone know of a workaround?

Edit: Found the solution. Once you're in your cart, click the regular Checkout button (not the masterpass button). Once you've proceeded to the final order screen, you can then change payment method to masterpass and apply the promo code.

Don't know if it just got fixed or if checking out on mobile was the answer, but I finally was able to check out via my phone/mobile page.

Man, that was a PITA. Master pass keeps asking for verification to login every attempt, rakuten wouldn't let me add promo codes until I logged in - but didn't seem to have a working continue/checkout button when I selected master pass as payment....

Hopefully should be working for the rest of you now.

I think for my purposes, this'll be perfect. Mostly for gen 1-2 Pokemon, street pass, and maybe luigi's mansion. Nothing too heavy, and I love that it's so small

Edit: fwiw, Nintendo store has a Mario party island "refurb" ds game for $10. I'm on the fence about it because from what I've seen and heard, the new Mario party games don't hold a flame to the original n64 ones
