Thinking to get this for a camping trip. What size gas tank does this take?

Charcoal? I thought it was propane from the previous comment.

Neither, electrical outlet required. 1200 WATT heating element (propane would be BTU)

There have been tons of those larger electric George Forman and its ripoffs for sale for less than $60. Those make sense, because if you need to plug it in, by default it's not really much of a transportable grill.

Personally, I prefer portable gas along with a smoker box. Can't use those with something like this. This isn't really a grill, it's more like an electric griddle and would taste like it too! 😘

Btw, had to refill my propane tank and Costco refills a 20 pound tank for $9!

This is a pretty specific item (read: uni-tasker), which is awesome if you know the splendor of raclette. If you don't, move along.

It's a raclette, people. It is *not* a grill. It is a splendid thing, too.

Think of it as a tableside hot plate for date night, DIY melty foods, or an open-air fondue. It's electric because the Europeans don't like disposable CO2 generators.
