Proshield is just an extra moisturizing strip?

The fusion's a great blade, but what is the deal with this advanced proshield technology?

It is that, which I heard is pretty good. But with frequent dollar cartridges being posted, I can't imagine justifying this. If this was S&S eligible I'd consider it for the extra 15%

I agree. I've jumped on a couple deals for 8 fusion cartridges for about $6, and I'm still moaning over that one deal (which I missed by moments) for a pack of 8 for 50 cents.

But I'm still wondering what that flex ball handle is like, if it's really that much better.

It's not any better, it's all gimmicks. These razors are like toothbrushes, they all been around forever & these companies haven't been able to perfect them yet. Come on now, give me a break. It's all about making sales & profits.

My skin seems to be more sensitive to this model than its previous predecessor.

Have you actually tried the flex ball handle? The cartridges are the ones you choose. I'm pretty sure they're interchangeable

Not much honestly. Everything is a minor increment or a gimmick.

The vibrating handle... eh, questionable if it gives a smoother shave, but at least it does leave my face less sensitive when I shave, since the vibrations help numb the skin.

4 blades better than 1? The only real improvement is that you can't peel off your skin as easily. Otherwise, a straight edge razor may even get a closer shave...

Moisturizing strips? Just take a shower...

There is a well-known marketing study where Gillette has to compete with itself so they build two factories with different quality levels. I'm wondering from which factory this cartridge came from?

The flex head is a total gimmick. I can see it being useful, maybe, if your wrist is in a cast.

Yes you can put the Fusion blade on a flex head or the normal Fusion razor.

I use Proshield to shave my head. When the Proshield blade is new, the difference in shave quality from a Fusion Proglide blade is very evident and it really does reduce bumps. Honestly, I haven't had any bumps since switching to this Proshield version about a month ago. None on the back of my head or face. Even now that my first blade is wearing out, still no bumps. Flexball is just a gimmick and, to me, there's no difference. This particular Proshield version is NOT a gimmick and is a good upgrade.

Are you referring to the difference between a Proshield Fusion and the regular Fusion, or some other razor?

Diff between a Proshield Fusion and a Proglide Fusion. I feel that this Proshield is a good upgrade from the Proglide.

That's interesting...

Do you happen to use a pre shave oil?
