Recommend to save the Level 80 Boost until you get to level 21 for each class because the entire game and leveling experience in itself is important to learn the mechanics of the game. So skipping to 80 is like skydiving without a parachute.

Yes, it does. The base game is free with reatrictions. Buying HOT will lift those restrictions and give you the expansion content.

Great game, awesome deal and totally worth the price imo. Pay once and done. No monthly fees. You can spend your in game gold to buy items in the real world money store which is really nice.

I bought Guild Wars 2 Digital Deluxe last year before HoT. Never installed it. Is it useless now without the upgrade or can I still enjoy the majority of content?

I quick Guild Wars 2 a few years ago; had maxed out characters and full exotics. What's different about those who bought the core from those who have the base game for free? Do those who purchased the game previously have any perks?

For anyone who does buy GW2 for the first time, consider NOT using the level 80 boost because the entire game and leveling experience in itself is important to learn the mechanics of the game. Each level you gain tells you what you've unlocked. So skipping to 80 is like skydiving without a parachute. At least get to level 20 or something first or try out the different professions.
would have to agree with this. and i just love the story mode on this game.
