I know it's not much of a deal, but considering it is the first time this version of the 1070 has been stocked, I think it is worth reporting.

At Newegg
385+shipping if you use paypal. 410+shipping otherwise

Edit: the paypal promo code is PP2016BTS

Uh, right.

You're saying the RX 480 beats the GTX 1070 (which this thread is about)?

This. Theres a purpose for a blower card. Whoever ran an SLI setup knows that.
The blower style cards blow air outside the case as opposed to an aftermarket cooler. If you have a tiny case think about where that hot air is going. Also think about any clearance issues that you potentially have with a nonreference card.
In an SLI setup if you dont have a blower style card then you will likely run into a scenario where one of the cards runs much hotter than the other

I agree that for the majority a powerful afermarket cooler is best.

Why do they downgrade from the double/triple fan setup when releasing a new model.
Because they are lame!

That type of blower is excellent for some cases..

however for most people its just loud and inefficient.

I can't imagine it will be much of an issue with this card considering it only maxes out at 150 watts.

Guys, do some research on directX 12. These perform terribly compared to the new amd cards. (RX 480). The reason? The nvidia cards are best for single threaded which is directX 11. I would wait and see if nvidia can address this or you might get stuck with a card that just doesn't perform well for the newer games.
