Getting exact timestamp of iPhone videos in iCloud

Ancalagon 3,997 293 July 19, 2016 at 04:21 PM
I'm an Android user so I'm out of my element here.

I need to get time stamps from videos stored in an iCloud. When I download them there is no taken date. In iCloud itself, it shows the video date and time. I need this information for a lawsuit. Is there a way I can share it or download it that preserves the date and time information?

just do a screenshot of the video in icloud when you bring it down you are creating a new copy. If you need it for a lawsuit ask your lawyer. they may need to copy it down to show it has not been tampered or changed, if you can't prove it is original.

You can try this

It'd help to know what type of computer and software you're using. If you have a Mac and can log in to that iCloud account, then the Photos app will certainly download the video with all metadata in tact. Actually, I think there's an iCloud for windows as well which creates a folder in your 'my pictures' folder and downloads the iCloud photo library into it.

You're probably just not reading the metadata correctly.

I have to question how this is going to help in a lawsuit. It's easy to forge / alter this information. If it's really important, your lawyer is probably going to have to try to do something like subpoena documentation from apple. idk i'm not a lawyer. If your lawyer doesn't understand how easy it is to change this in a file on your computer, it might be time for a new lawyer.
