Shit you're not lying. I was going to say that beef is the real killer but a pound of almonds takes more water to grow than a pound of beef and that is insane when you realize that it takes 1800 gallons of water to grow a pound of beef.

It takes roughly 850 gallons of water to grow the almonds in the bag pictured. That's ridiculous. I will not be buying these.

I'm glad some of you guys are on board. So many people don't realize the horrible situation the beef and almond farmers are putting us in. F ing legislatures being bought off. I'm all water wise in the front and back yard, reducing run off blah blah blah and still they export beef and almonds from California. What a waste.

Almond-shaming. Hilarious. 850 gallons of water to grow the almonds.....and the shell, which is also put to use. And the hull, also put to use. And the tree itself, also put to use. Are you saying you're not in favor of feeding water to a tree that produces oxygen for us to breathe?! I assume you want to keep the tree, but not the almonds, little realizing that most of that water is used for the tree itself and not for the fruit/nut.

Was going to buy a couple of bags, but all this talk of almonds made me hungry. Seriously, in for 10.

I guess it's a good thing that they are out of stock. I was about to pick some up. then read the comments of all the water wise people. so I guess I won't be picking this up.
