I put a thin block of wood under the front between the fan and the floor and now the fan does not rattle and still oscillates quietly. This fan is equipped with a 2 prong plug which nice. The remote is well built for a fan but the range is only 3 or 4 feet.

Excellent deal and just in time. I need one of these things because it's freezing here when it's hot outside because I usually set my thermostat too low and the AC runs full time but I'm too lazy to get up and turn off the thermostat so I turn on a heater instead. In for one because August is gonna be really hot.

Just turn off the oscillation & then no more rattle.

This heater has no remote function (unless you teach your cat or dog how to operate it on command).

Also note: this heater has a 'manual thermostat', which is much less useful than an electronic thermostat. Personally, I'd trade the oscillation for an accurate auto/digital thermostat any day!

Also, the smaller footprint of these 'tower' heaters is a fairly desirable selling point, especially when being used in smaller/cramped rooms. These would be perfect for dorm rooms.

$17 is a slick deal, though, for a 'name brand' space heater.
