Roku Streaming Stick (Manufacturer Refurbished)

Roku’s HD Streaming Stick unlocks the glamorous world of Netflix, HBO Go, and Amazon Instant Video on the big screen: your HDTV. Though the device is compact, it’s a powerful key to streamed TV shows, games, and movies—all rendered in up to 1080p resolution. The device comes with a remote, but you can also download free iOS or Android apps to turn your smartphone into a remote.

Model number: 3500XB

Stay away unless you know what you are buying. These are 1st gen and under powered and slow. The remote is also IR if I am correct.

The 2nd gen can be picked up new for like $30 and rivals my $99 Roku 3 and comes with a wifi remote (same as my roku 3).

Update
Ok got $10, why not. Good for a spare bedroom or a travel bag

I tried to buy two but the WELCOME coupon isn't working. Made a new account and everything.

This is expensive. I got this manufacturer refurbished for $10 last year. Now it's $20?

Amazon had them. It was a slickdeal.

The WELCOME code says it won't work on anything under $25. So no deal unless you buy 2. I wouldn't buy 2. For $10 I would.

The remote is RF, not IR.

Never saw it at $30, but the weeks before PS Vue was supported, everyone had it at $40. I missed that opportunity.

I got one of these refurb and it died just a few months after. The 3600r is lightyears ahead of this one anyways.

Seconding this. Roku 2 has such a faster interface than Roku 1. Plus streaming is more reliable. The $20-30 extra you spend for one is well worth it.
