Does anyone know if port forwarding is needed in order to remotely view video from this? I already have a 4 channel Zmodo security camera system that was setup for port forwarding (in order to use their Zviewer Windows program). I'm thinking to get this Sannce system to add additional cameras (since the Zmodo one can't be expanded). But if the Sannce requires port forwarding, I don't think it would be possible to setup port forwarding for two different NVRs (maybe I'm mistaken on this).

This deal kind of poops on the Laview deal. Even though the camera's were better quality and the nvr was 8 port. On extreme budgets this should be the standard. I'll gladly give up the 1tb HD for a $40 discount. Wish Laview was always 300. I don't want to hoard these and then be stuck with nvr crap that no clients want. I prefer to buy when I have a gig and a payment already.

From the other network camera deal discussion, I guess networked cameras do not have a built in network switch and second RJ-45 to allow daisy chaining right out of the box.

Are small ethernet PoE switches for sale to do this ?

I'm not sure about your router, but most routers can forward multiple ports. If by chance it can't, then setup your NVR to stream on the same port as your Zmodo.

You should be able to add new port forwarding rules on your router for the new system, pretty easy to do. Just make sure the new ports aren't already being used by the Zmodo or other apps/devices, and you are good to go. You can also use a single 3rd party app like tiny Cam Pro ($4 or less during sales) on your smartphone, instead of running both Zmodo and Sannce apps. I believe Blue Iris for PC would also let you do this on the desktop (but it will set you back around $60).

I bought the $150 Annke that came up a few weeks back, and it's a great set. As far as the port forwarding, the QR code scan sets you up with their cloud system for viewing, so I didn't have to do any kind of manual forwarding.

For as outdated as the camera resolution is on this, it might has well record to vhs tapes. New cameras record at 4 times the resolution of these. Then again, this kit is the price of 2 of new cameras when purchased on the cheap through Aliexpress.

I am just starting to look at these security system deals and I need help with what type of system I would need for a small retail front store. I hope you guys can help with suggestions.

My requirements are
- Need 1 camera in the reception area viewing the entire counter area plus waiting area. More cameras inside the back of the store are optional.
- Need to continuously view the camera data on PC/tablet both inside the store and outside

I would appreciate advice on what system I can get that is both efficient and not too expensive. Thanks.

Annke and Sannce are the same company and the image quality is shocking. The reviews are fake. Look at amazon, all 1-star and 2-star and 3-star reviews are "Verified Buyers", less than 25% of 5-star reviews are "Verified Buyers" and have only ever posted reviews about Annke or Sannce. How odd?

Avoid ANNKE, SANNCE and ZMODO.
