World Music Supply has four of the Washburn Rover acoustic travel guitar options on sale while supplies last. MSRP is $349, was $249. Take $110 off normal price with coupon code RoverExotic bringing the final price to only $139.

These 4 wood combinations are really stylish than the norm. The Washburn to me plays and sounds much better than similar travel guitars from other manufacturers. The factory case is also nice.

Shipping is free.

I have the plain-jane spruce Rover, and for what travel guitars are its pretty darn good. Full size neck and fretboard is great, action is good, sound is thin but not awful and definitely better than the ohter backpacking guitars I have heard like the Martin one.

No idea how these exotic woods sound in comparison

I got one of the normal wood ones a month back. Sounds pretty good, wish I'd waited until I sw that spalted one though.

And cheaper than a baby Taylor, not better than a papoose, but still a great deal

Grabbing one of these in expectation of Guitar Hero Live: Bard's Tale coming out later this year.

For some reason I always laugh when I hear people call a pick a "plectrum". Sounds like something a doctor will use during an operation. "Nurse... plectrum, please. Stat. We have a bleeder."

Yeah, I'm very curious to see if each of these exotic woods sound different or holds up better in the long run than others. Is one a harder wood grain than the other?

I picked up one each of the Koa and Spalted Maple. Once I get them in I'll report back.
