Question guys. I have my router in my bedroom and I want to extend it's coverage into the living room, where the wifi from my router is very spotty right now. Is that "range extender" by Trendnet )for 14.99) exactly what I need? or maybe you can point to what it is I need.

I"m looking for something that will give me good wifi (at either 2.4 or 5 ghz, doesn't matter, either one)

No external antenna on the Asus router. Great price for that tech, but unfortunately a poor design.

The TP-Link C7 is junk. The 5GHz band performs decently, but 2.4GHz is worse than a decade-old WRT54G with no N. They're a budget brand for a reason.

This is what I bought a few weeks ago and works well. After rebate it was $13 I believe.
