Thread Details

I personally don't think this is slick what with new models out there, but it looks like Newegg is clearing out the older ones if someone's on the fence. I have the i3 alpha and it's a sweet little machine for the LR that's also silent and has a small footprint.

Que all the "you can build it cheaper (failing to mention not at the same size)" comments.

If you play with the configuration some are on sale and include a probably crap windows tablet.

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Well, since people like to post hot deals on free to play games being free, and what "free games" come with a paid subscription every damn month, I'd say it falls right in line with the rest of you geniuses don't it?

Like I said, someone in the fence might pull the trigger. It was a newegg email blast deal, and since people crap up my hit deal alerts with that shit every day, I wanted in on the bandwagon. If it annoyed you, then I'm now 1 and about a million, only 3 lifetimes worth of crap deals to post and I'll be even.

Complain some more. That'll make people agree with you.

Also, slickdeals is a community website. The community decides what's popular. The deals you're bitching about are very popular with the community. This isn't. Your individual opinion (or anyone else's) is completely irrelevant. If you want to be helpful, TU or TD instead of complaining.

Brah, sorry to break it to you but you've lost it.

No one (but you or the mods) can stop you from posting shitty deals, but try to avoid bitching in the future. (Only a crazy person claims to not give a f#EURk and still bitch at the same time.)

Never said I don't give a F. Please don't put words in my mouth. I think it's a good system and a good price, but then I'd pay more and get the newer hardware, cause I'm not poor, but my current alpha is still good enough, so I'm not looking for one. I'm terribly sorry all of you don't have the reading comprehension to understand I posted something that's a deal, but not one I'm interested in.

That's a long post to say nothing, and I didn't put words in your mouth. Your own post admitted it wasn't a "slickdeal", you got called out, and your response was to use other posts you felt were bad to defend you posting junk.

If the argument is that you care, that's a silly way to try to make it.

I said I don't think it's slick because new models are coming out. But if you look around similar prices for woot sold dell and HP SFF machines with equal specs and no video card are on here all the time. Someone who is looking at one and thought they were too much at $500 might jump on it, or go with the i7 for cash off and a free tablet as I said. That you keep trying to psycho analyze my posts is kind of sad, in my opinion, but then if you put as much stock in what a rando slickdeals poster thinks as I do, I'm sure you don't care.

I'd spend the 700 or so to get the more expandable new model with the graphics accelerator, and more modern parts was why it's personally not slick for me. Just because the average SDer instinct is to post like a smarmy douchebag and I like to troll back is what keeps this going. A TD and shutting up would work fine I'd think if someone doesn't like it. But God forbid a SDer doesn't post a put down with their opinion. Hey, maybe we can go troll some Tivo or apple deals together next!!!

You can configure it differently and they offer a free tablet as well as different discounts on each model. It's why I didn't post the specific one in there. Windows can easily be installed on these boxes. It's not a bad machine for how inexpensive it is.

Or you could ignore posters you label trolls, or feel free to not post (FYI, you dont have to post deals, and if your posts mostly get TD's -they are there for a reason- you probably should forgo posting). Feel free to keep your thoughts to yourself, its a fool proof way to stop people from posting their opinion.
