If you consider this a "powerhouse laptop" then you definitely aren't in need of real power; this is an Intel U-series CPU shake head

Man if I was in the market for a powerhouse laptop, this would probably be it. Only negatives about it are, that its HP I hate their QC. Also no touchscreen. With all the specs and discreet graphics though, this is a great deal. Also not sure the keyboard is backlit either.

anyone have this laptop or a similar model? need a laptop for law school and this has everything I wanted at a good price, i7, ssd, 1920x1080, discrete graphics (just in case i game on it). i know HP have high defective rates, but with a 1 year warranty plsu credit card extended warranty i feel like i'd be okay. any thoughts?

If you guys are thinking about this laptop, you might want to read this review from notebookcheck here http://www.notebookcheck.net/HP-P...716.0.html

They review the i5-6200u version

The BIG negative that stuck out for me is the abysmal 214 nits of brightness for the screen. That's just unacceptable. And the contrast ratio is just in the high 400s. Screen must be an eyesore.

I use this laptop for work and it has the worse screen I've ever seen. I use a code editor that subtly shade blocks and you can't even tell. Get a monitor to use with it.

I work on these at work and would spend the extra for an elitebook model. The metal chassis is a lot nicer among other things.

Which R7 is in this notebook, doesn't say anywhere.

I think this must be a listing mistake..

If this DOES HAVE the radeon graphics, then it should be the probook 470 and not 450.. only the 470 has the R7 graphics.
