Same price as toysrus. Same price for Xbox one. My closest target b&m would've price matched but were out so ended up going a few miles further to Walmart who also price matched so I could have it today

The price of used one is just $0.5 lower than the new one, so new one is better.

Is there much difference between the PS3/PS4 versions or the Xbox360/xBoxOne versions?

Same price as Toys R Us because Amazon is matching Toys R Us. It's not because Amazon decided to lower the price first. Remember Amazon is almost never a leader but a follower.

Technically Target isn't supposed to match the Amazon offer because it's for Prime members only, but they should match Toys R Us which I think is a week long deal. I knew the price would drop soon because I waited months for a $40 or $45 price and finally caved on "Prime Day" at $49.99. I just received it on Monday, still haven't opened it, and 4 days later it's cheaper by $5. This just reminds me why I should try to buy locally because I often regret Amazon purchases due to price drops and no price guarantees. I know not to contact Amazon because they never match their own prices after the fact, and it would cost more than $5 to return it to them.

I should look at the bright side. At least I'm only down by $5 plus tax. Usually the drops right after I buy are larger than that. I need to make some use of it so I can feel I got some value out of it because I suspect it'll drop under $40 around BF and the holidays.

I can't speak for Lego Dimensions, but for Disney Infinity and Skylanders the difference is huge... better resolution (1080 vs 720) and better frame rate. I'd be surprised if Lego Dimensions is any different.

So the lowest price you could find it a week ago was on Amazon when you bought, but they never have the lowest prices?

Amazon has the best prices on average than any online retailer. Just because they aren't the lowest on every single item, people like to complain.

If you have GCU, you can get this price matched at Best Buy & get the rewards - and if you have any rewards, you can make it even cheaper. Did this with TRU before this. Big Grin

I didn't say never. I said almost never. The day I bought was Prime Day which is a rare recap of prior sale prices earlier during the year. It was the lowest price I could find online that day, but it's not the lowest price it has been. Most of the year, apart from a few special occasions, Amazon's price will just be matching some other retailer's price. My only point is that most of the time when there are good sale prices, it's usually Amazon that is following someone else's price.

I'd love to get into this but I've got the Infinity setup right now. Too much effort to keep track of the Lego pieces

Saw them on sale on the store flyer NY, hopefully it's regional so everyone can get them.
