Firefox ver 47 no longer downloading!

The automatic download from stamps.com did not work - so the guy sent me the link below:
URL: http://support.stamps.com/outgoin...plugin.exe

It would not download.

I checked the download history since installing Win 10 - I had downloaded Macrium and VLC player. It also does not download email attachment but lets me upload.

I tried VLC player again - it is not downloading.

I searched but none of the methods worked.

Looks like the problem is Win 10. Take it to microsoft.
How do I take it to MS?

I sent an email about the encryption issue I had to the CEO - never heard back!

I vote for uninstalling Firefox completely and reinstalling. A W10 upgrade should not cause this but odd things happen. Emailing Microsoft is a needle in a haystack. They will say use Edge It works great Smilie

Ditto. I would check to see if you can work in IE or if it has the same issues. If it is the same, then something else is going on. Either way, it would not surprise me if the OP has some sort of malware\virus on the machine. A complete\full scan in that regard should also be made imo.

On Safemode FF downloads - I only have Kaspersky and Ghostery. When I disable both, it does not download. I am struck.

Try creating a new profile, firefox.exe -profilemanager

Have you tried right clicking something you want to download and choosing "save linked file as"?

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?

The latest version of Firefox is 47.01. If you have 41.0.1. something is wrong as that is from September, 2015.

Run a full AV scan. Then check your FF extensions and plug ins to see what is being run. If that fails to fix things, turn off Kaspersky temporarily to see if that is blocking FF for some reason in the firewall (it shouldn't). Last option would be to save your bookmarks and then uninstall FF. Do a clean install via the mozilla site and see if the problem goes away.

Interesting. My version checks for updates, and says it's good. Thanks!

Maybe the firefox updater is boycotting NC laugh out loud

It wouldn't be a bad idea to run a MalwareBytes scan just in case something more benign is to blame.
