Thread Details

Valid until Monday, pay $49.99 and get a 5years TigerVPN, the title actually says it is a lifetime subscription but I read the terms and found this:
"Subscription term is for 5 years. At the conclusion of 5-year term, customers may renew their subscriptions free of charge by contacting: support@stackcommerce.com" so make of that what you will but sure it does look like some shady business stuff, but I have email them for clarification because it says otherwise in the license part (read below) you Still $10/year which doesnt doesnt seem bad at all (tunnelbear costs $49.99 for 1 year, for comparison).

to me deals like that usually signal that company is not doing so well financially and if above strategy would not reach a certain budgetary mark company might drown.

Seems like a red flag the company is in financial trouble.

They also have a $19 for three year plan.

tigerVPN offers generally good performance, but, the concerns about insolvency may be valid. However, tigerVPN just totally revamped its website, so this could be just a customer base expansion push.

They are based on Slovakia, which is friendly to personal-use downloading (and no data retention). They allow P2P on Bucharest, Madrid, and Vienna servers.

I have tigerVPN as a backup VPN, and my current subscription expires in November. Might re-up for the three years.

They seem so sketch to me, but any more light you can shed on them?

How is their customer service or how easy is it to connect (say with a router)?

What is good performance? I might try their free plan to see how fast they are, but they could just fudge that.

I think $19 for 3-years is worth a shot, and at worst it is $20. Where can I get that deal?

Customer service is fine. Quick response.

As for using a router, I use tigerVPN with (either their client or) Viscosity - they provide the openVPN credentials - so you shouldn't have a problem with the right router; they don't try to force use of their client.

We are rural, so DSL tops out at about 8.2 Mbps under best conditions. I did a test while connected to tigerVPN Vienna and got a solid, stable 7.0 Mbps. Considering the distance, I consider that very good.

It's on the same page; just click that selection instead.

Based in Oregon (i.e., America). BAD idea if you want to use it for torrents. Look at the latest news on why Kicka** Torrents was taken down (solely because it used US servers). You need that foreign country in the middle.
