Thread Details

T-mobile has a variation of the tablet deal they had on Father's Day. We got this for my fiancée and she's been digging it so far. Good battery life and a beautiful display. It also has expandable memory, a USB port, and a reading mode. Pretty cool features for a non-flagship tablet.

While the previous deal involved T-Mobile sending out a $240 gift card to pay this tablet off, I believe this deal just involves paying $10 a month for data and they waive the $10/month tablet payment.

This weekend only: Get an LG G Pad™ X 8.0 on us when you get an eligible data plan.
Minimum 6GB 4G LTE data plan required.

$35/month for data ($25/month if you have a phone line).

Not really comparable to the $240 card. This is via monthly bill credits of $10/month, so you have to pay for 24 months to get it free.

It's not been 6 weeks yet since you submitted your claim, and it does say 6-8 weeks. You'll get your rebate as long as you followed the terms...

I've checked rebate status - it's received still - for 1 month already.

No bar-code needs to be mailed in, just maintain the contract, right?

Just keep the plan active. That's it...

If you decide to leave T-mo you'll be stuck paying the balance of the tablet. Think hard if you want to do this. Not saying not to, just to think long-term before you commit.

I've been seeing the occasional deal on tablets with LTE that will take a t-mobile sim card. I have an HP stream with a sim card, but sometimes I would like to be able to switch over to an Android device for games and such.

Yugster.com had some in the last two weeks or so. They may still be available in their last chance area.

I am paying $10/month for a 2gb plan, which works out fine, since most activity is done on wifi anyway.

If it's a mistake they'll fix it (unlike verizon that just tells you "sucks to be you, sucker!")
Anything you did that could have messed it up?

Yes, it is tough, when the problem occurred.
but finally I got fixed, I went back to the t-mobile store, the store manager called t-mobile sale support, deleted the two orders associated EIPs.Smilie

Rebate thing sucks indeed!
They are tricky to deny the rebate as possible for their gain!
