The latitude 5000 comes with @ maximum , an AMD M370.. which is only 75% as fast as the 960m in This laptop.

AMD gpu currently are also not very suitable for Laptops because they consume more power per any given performance level relative to Nvidia counterparts.

The latitude 5000 has an option for the AMD 370 card.

I'm rookie here, is this fast? I need to run multiple (alot) programs at once, can't afford slowdown for a second, if this is not it that what should I look for in laptop?

I don't play games but programs I use are taking toll on my laptop since I have to run them together

That will increase the price, right? Also R9-370M is not a match for GtX 960, it performs slightly below to GTX 950M DDR3 version. And if you start comparing prices of refurbished products with brand new products then don't you think that is not a fair comparison?

If you can name some of the programs, it would be easier to suggest.

I do alot of video editing, and converting video files

but my main 5 programs are constantly connected to internet and transferring data non-stop between my laptop and company server through internet for 5 hours straight. I can't afford to have lag even for a second and miss data. Programs in my pc is making sense of data it is receiving and respond back to company every second. Sometime I have to open a sixth program to send data but it lags to open because of other 5 program already running. Basically its non stop transfer of data and every second counts

It could be a bottleneck in your connection

As for multitasking, yes this processor is very able. I would however like to see more memory and a ssd
