actually, with no tax to states outside NY, isn't this a very good deal? better than the recent HP ones floating around? as well as the Dell 15 inch inspiron for 700 which would be like 760 after tax.

those have gtx 960m graphics card which is around 25% better than GTX 950M ddr3 this Laptop has. So if somebody is looking for decent gaming laptop, those are better choice.

On the other hand, IMO this one is better for people want to run CPU intensive applications and carry it and also for the touchscreen lovers.

Good points, thanks. I suppose as long as gaming isn't a big concern, this one having 128GB SSD out of the box also adds to its price/value.

For video editing and maybe 3d modeling, would the 950M(DDR3) be less than sufficient? Or would it not make a big difference?

thanks in for one, they have more in stock and this deal has been reposted.

here's a sd search for ssd with gtx 960m. they run around 800 + tax on some. Adorama makes this deal hot for californians with an almost 10% tax rate in many counties.

950m vs 960m close enough for me. about 15% difference in one benchmark

i7 vs i5 to me is just marketing. i would gladly trade i5 with ssd this videocard for a bit less money.

compared to the dell deal $500 after $150 discount. 2-in-1

Specs
Intel Core i5-6200U Processor (6th Gen Skylake)
13.3" / 15.6" 1920x1080 Full HD LED-backlit Touchscreen Display
8GB 2133MHz DDR4 SDRAM Memory
256GB Solid State Drive
Intel HD 520 Graphics
2x USB 3.0
1x USB Type-C
1x HDMI
WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0
Backlit Keyboard
3-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery
Windows 10 Home (64-Bit)

i get taxed, so 555 that deal to this. additional 165 buys me
1gb additional hard drive slot. i believe 15" should have 2 drives. and one is for movies and media while the smaller drive for OS and crucial software / yay
smaller ssd 128 drive / boo
4gb more memory / meh memory is cheap
metal, / don't know if that means better build quality. that keyboard looks very flexy on the dell reviews. i can't find any recent toshiba review videos yay
much better than hd 520 graphics / yay
this screen may or not be ips. but the reviews are positive. that dell 13 has ips, the dell 15 does not. however the dell screen getting some poor reviews since 200 nit brightness / ? who knows.
better speakers / yay
