Does anyone know if this will work with the 7 1/4" Kobalt miter saw that went on sale a few weeks back?

Nice stand but too small, arms don't go out long enough for anything over 8'.

I bought this stand about a year ago for about the same price. It was mailed to me and the hardware was missing to attach the saw to the 2 cross members. When I called customer service, they said there was nothing for them to do except return it and purchase a new one (without the great price). So I kept it and bought my own nuts and bolts.

Excellent stand. Very sturdy and adjustable. Only thing is with really long pieces, they droop too much. I could buy a single stand, but I am not a pro. I use what I have in patio chairs. The back is the perfect height. Just doesn't have the nice rollers when adjusting the trim to the correct spot to cut.

I will also bring up the fact that I am very disappointed with Sears of late. I had a Craftsman 4 cycle blower that started spewing fuel as fast as the air it was blowing. Still under the warranty, they blamed me for using bad gas. WTF? I use the same gas for my craftsman tractor; hence the reason for a 4 cycle blower. They fixed the blower but charged me for parts or something like that. Came to $15, but either way this thing was under a year old. SMH at Sears.

Picked this stand up last time. I have a dwalt 12" sliding miter on this stand and it works great. Heavy and solid, arms are a bit short for really long stuff but at the price it's well worth it.

I bought this a year or more ago when it went on sale for $50 (Thanks SD). But when Home Depot's Rigid folding and rolling stand showed up, I jumped on that one too. it's so much better. The craftsman one has a tendency to twist and flex if you attempt to move it while you have a heavy saw attached. it's just a PITA compared.

This is *Universal*, it fits with everything. I use a Dewalt(no idea on the model number) with it and although I can't secure it down with all 4 screws, the two that do go in work just fine... but I have to take the brackets off the saw for transport as opposed to leaving them attached. Kinda a pain.
