Anyone know how much refill cartridges are for this? I'm hoping there is a Brother toner cartridge variant for this printer (like other Dell laser printers).

Not saying the same thing would happen- The last time I bought Dell laser printers from Staples, it turned out that they were not, in fact, brand new. When 2 of them malfunctioned and I contacted Dell support, I discovered that the service tag number on the box did not match the service tag number on the configuration page. Upon checking the service tag numbers to verify warranty status, I found that one of them had previously been registered in France and the other was already out of warranty, despite being only 6 months old. The Dell tech I spoke with (but I bet he wasn't supposed to say this) theorized that the only way this could have happened is that Dell installed USED parts in a new chassis and then sold it as a new printer.

After a lot of bitching, Dell would not give me a new printer- they wanted to replace what was SUPPOSED to be a brand new printer with a refurbished one. I kept insisting that this was not acceptable and finally just gave up in frustration. I suppose I could have contacted my states attorney's office and filed a formal complaint, but the printer was less than $100 and I just got tired of fighting.

I love these Dell Color "laser-class" printers. Just replaced my C1660w with an all-in-one E525w and the newer features are nice (I'm surprised this C1760nw doesn't have AirPrint, like my E525w does).

An auto-duplexer would be nice, but it's really the only thing these printers lack. Great printing quality.

Just a note, my old C1660w still works great (with third-party replacement toner carts I got on eBay, no less), I just wanted to get rid of my nasty HP AIO printer, which just served as a scanner (the inkjet output was terrible).

I'd recommend these Dells without any reservations.

Staples sells the high yield ink for $69 each x 4 (CYMB). Ink isn't cheap unless you plan to get 3rd party inks.

Are you sure you should be hating on Dell here? Perhaps, the printers were repaired by a third-party,reboxed, and then sold to Staples as new. Nowadays, the supply chain is so full of corrupt links, it's hard to separate the good guys from the bad.
