Not a fan of the movement thingy (don't need to be woken up whenever my kid moves) but sound part works well with nice range. Oldest just turned 5 and it still works well other than the lcd display is a bit messed up now.

For those wondering this does not have 2 way audio.

This alarms if your kid doesn't move for a set amount of time (15ish seconds). With SIDs being such a common thing this could just save your child's life. The major downside is once your kid is big enough to move around in the crib the sensor sometimes can't detect their movement in the corner. False alarms are terrifying.

Horrible units. I had the deluxe version.

Don't expect it to last longer than about 12 months. 1 kid units. They work great until they don't. Had one receiver die after 6 months when the screen went nutty. The other's screen was dead when I fired it up for kid 2 after it sat in a shoe box in the closet for 18 months. Worked when I packed away. Warranty is iffy.

Also, don't forget to lay a board down under the crib mattress for the sensor pads if you go against my advice. Failure to do so can give you a nice scare.

I recommend an old school monitor or a Foscam paired with an old or cheap tablet or your smartphone. For the hyper nervous types or for children with special needs look into the owlet.

Used it almost every night for a year. 3 false alarms which was not a big deal for us (but scary). Usually when our son was in the corner, the alarm would go off. It gave us peace of mind and comfortable sleep otherwise.
A friend of ours had their kid pass from SIDS at 11 weeks of age recently. Very sad. Wish they had this device..
This machine worked for us with minimal error. If there is a better device out there, please share but this is my experience with it.

We also used this every night for a new born. For a first time parent, it's hard not to be paranoid. If you're willing to buy this in the first place, then you're not waiting for it to go on sale.

About 2 years ago the company sent out a notice with a few additional parts to cover up the exposed wire extending from underneath the mattress. We also bought the travel unit which simply clips onto the front of the baby's diaper. Kinda cool because it blinked green and red lights so our kid look like a chubby Christmas ornament.

Besides this movement monitor, I am also looking for video monitor. Does anyone here has good suggestion?

I used this system for both my kids and it worked great. we passed it on to a friend.
the audio part worked perfect and the movement sensor did have a false alarm or two, but you know what, it's worth it to prevent SIDS. i'd rather get woken up over an occasional false alarm than lose a child.
it was terrifying with the 1st kid, but with the second, we were glad we had it, but didn't freak out over it. i can't think of it happening more than 3-4 times with both kids.
