These don't make a strong enough statement for me. Yes, they are incredibly ugly, but I'm looking for something that's so ugly that it's almost offensive. These are close, but not quite to the point to fit what I'm aiming for.

If these aren't Herman Miller or Modernica then buyer beware. The knockoffs don't usually last very long. The real deals are nuke-proof and are worth the money, IMHO.

Warranty makes them virtually unreturnable. Can't trust the quality even though the design is good.

Of course these are knock offs for that price. Modernica's costs way more than the Herman Millers but they are nicer because its real fiberglass like the original eames. The current herman millers are more like a plastic like polypropelene.

You actually have a choice between fiberglass, traditional plastic, or molded wood with Herman Miller. Modernica is exclusively fiberglass, you're right about that. Both are superbly built.

Agreed, but we also can't compare a $375 chair to a $27 chair.
For the price, they should be more than adequate.

I'm sure it's a YMMV, but I've had 2 of the knockoff Eames rockers in my kids' rooms for 4+ years and they are holding up extremely well. They were about $80 each from Overstock. Even with my 230 lbs of beefcake on board and a 40 pound child in my lap for a story, they show no signs of under-engineering.

Yeah it's a crapshoot. You obviously got some good ones. I prefer buying the original/authentic because the resale on legit Herman Miller furniture is insane. It's almost furniture as an investment.
