Anybody aware of the anti-microbial aspects of a dishwasher, and have any cites? I would hesitate putting something absorbent that's been on the floor with my dishes, but I may just be over-cautious. (I would put this in a clothes load I'm bleaching, but the dishwasher could be really convenient, I only run bleach loads once every one to two weeks.)

Anybody here used this and not received at free/discounted rate? I'm interested in it but all the reviews seemed to have gotten it for free.

I wonder if you could do something like microwaving it similar to how you can microwave a sponge to get rid of funky smells.

i use this same exact pad with a zwipes flat mop. i use it to clean laminate flooring and tile.

works perfect. i run some hot water through it, ring it out a bit, spray a cleaner on it, then go to town. its pretty basic and if you need something like it, you cant go wrong for $1.xx

not really a product that people should feel concerned about free reviews. its fabric that can be washed.

our washer and dryer have sanitize settings so i am always confident it will be cleaned. in regards to the dishwasher comment, dishwashers are designed to reach temperatures that will kill bacteria. if you are comfortable with food being put in with the dishes, i don't see why flopping this thing down would be any worse.

Actually good idea. Microwave it hot a little before you start the dishwasher load. You are essentially you boiling it. Ring it out in the sink afterwards to get rid of the worst of the dirt, and the run it in the dishwasher. You might not want it in the bottom during the dry cycle, as it might damage the microfiber.

Yes, but it looks like the deal is over again.

I got two of mine the other day. (although I have not used it) They seem well made. It appears to be some type of sponge in the layers of thick fabric. The mop handle facing side has really fuzzy fabric for the Velcro to attach to. The flooder facing side is somewhat quilted in about 4 rows.

I just ordered 5 more, and expect them to last me quite a while.

(My mop frame will also take the Zwipes 'rags' that Amazon sells. On the top side it has gripper pockets to tuck the rag in. The same Velcro on bottom will grip the rag. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002J7O95Y/ )
