Has any one compared the price with Lowe's and Home Depot? I checked a few recently and found Home Depot has much lower price than Lowe's. If it's the case in general, what will the 8% off help? Or maybe individual case I happened to run into? An example is recently both have this on sale with price at $398 days ago. They all went back to their normal price, but home depot (http://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-30-.../206943060) has $448.2, Lowes' (http://www.lowes.com/pd/GE-Freest...1000041071) $549. The best case of course is when Lowes' is on sale with the same price of Home Depot, then plus the 8%. I wonder how frequent that is, struggling whether to buy or not. LOL.

Yes, I have. For us here, Lowe's is almost always cheaper on most items. Especially when it comes to fertilizers, weed & feed stuff, pesticides, sprinklers, and various other lawn care items. I've also picked up some really good deals on LED light bulbs for the home.

It probably varies from city to city or market conditions whether you live in a small size city versus a large metropolitan area.

just pricematch with HD then, its a win-win since you get the 110% PM and you can use your discounted gift card

Cardpool [cardpool.com] has Lowes physical gift card for 9% off in stock and Email Delivery ones occasionally, which is better than this deal, unless you have other ebay cash/bucks.

For the 1% difference, I'd rather deal with much more reputable vendor. Plus, E-bay bucks offsets most of the difference for those who consider that valuable.

yeah home depot is usually cheaper (or better brand for same price) and lowes is not as quick to price match as they used to be, for me the time wasted is not worth it. another 85/100 would be enough to make me jump.

I usually plan my purchases and order online with a coupon. 15 off 50 on top of the gift card makes lowes cheaper in most cases than home Depot.

i see some items at home depot that are cheaper and some at lowes that are cheaper.

but over i shop more at lowes since i can combine more discounts:
cash back site for lowes card on ebay
cash back for lowes
lowes coupons

When I owned a rental property I was always doing major work and found Lowes was usually slightly less than Home Depot. Returns were always easier at Lowes than at Home Depot. I ended up shopping almost exclusively at Lowes when it was easy to pop into the post office and grab a stack of 10 percent off coupons.
