My first order of daylight color 16-pack will be here today. $19.99 on during Prime Week.

Related; so far I have had no failures with the TCP made Great Vaule ones from Walmart. I have 6 of them in outside fixtures because the base of the bulb says suitable for damp locations. (Although, the scary part is this is next to the word caution, thus I wonder if they left off the 'un')

The TCP daylight 6 pack I ordered on the last deal posted here all bulbs seem fine, are bright white and very bright. My Philips 16 pack hasn't shown up yet from the Prime deal but also ordered the daylight 5k bulbs so hope they are at least as good as these TCP ones.
Been some pretty good deals on LED bulbs lately and hope the prices keep getting better and maybe some 100 watt ones soon.
Should save us all a little bit more on our power bills I hope.

Works out to $1.66 per bulb as long as you don't have to pay for shipping.

When I went through checkout, I saw $7.50 shipping + 2.30 tax making the purchase total $36.31. (roughly $2.27 per bulb). It's a fairly good deal, but 16 Qty is a lot. I already have 1/2 of my home converted to LED bulbs

I'll skip on this deal - my local Lowes Hardware has LED bulbs on sale occasionally. 60 W LED bulbs (2-pack) for $4 each. After tax it's about $2.12/bulb.

My total was $28.87 (after CA tax). Works out to $1.80 per bulb with 2-day prime shipping. Nice deal imo if you need them or spares! Thanks and repped OP

I got the daylight variety during primeday for $20 and like them a lot. Very bright and white. I am not sure how I would like these ones. These are more dingy yellow, correct?

I'm a huge fan of the look of daylight and how it makes everything appear higher end, but I've heard stories on how it gets very annoying over time and isn't suitable for living areas. I use daylight only for the garage and storage area/closets to give it a more industrial look.

I like the soft white in old lamps and have several of them in a bathroom fixture. I think the daylight are so bright they show all the flaws in the paint on the walls.

I imagine local electric companies and energy-star etc.will be giving these away before long.

Yeah i use daylight only in closets. Some people like it everywhere, but it would drive me insane to have daylight bulbs in every fixture.

I bought these in soft white on Prime Day. Compared to daylight they're warmer but a bit easier on the eyes, especially at nighttime. There's some research that says blue light at night (the daylight bulbs are bluer) throws off your circadian rhythms.

Bought several from home depot as well and they work great, thinking they put out more light than the 60watt incandescent and florescent bulbs they replaced, look closer to a 75 watt to me.

daylight are good in places you tend to want to get work done. Garages, laundry room, office... Soft white tend to be best in places you want to relax. bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms.... Bathrooms and kitchens are often an either/or scenario based on preference.

But yes, these bulbs will be more yellowish than daylight (which tend to be more blue)
