You need to spend $1,000 or more within the first 3 months of Card Membership. Versus $4000 for Chase Sapphire Preferred.

Far too low a signup bonus for the hard credit pull.

Amazon membership $100 a year.
How long do you think Amazon is going to last? 7 to 10 years.
Lifetime Amazon membership sounds about right.

There is a limit to the number of Amex cards you can own and I think that is 4 so you don't want to tie one of the available slots to this card. This looks like Amex Bluecash so just get it directly from Amex the next time there is a promotion. The bonus will be much better than what Newegg is giving you.

It's easy for me to say and obviously I can't guarantee it will happen again, but Groupon will hopefully run the $100 Newegg GC with free year of Premier promotion again during the holiday shopping season like they did last year. From that promotion or some others, people will sell the free year Premier code on eBay for cheap also.

You're realistically only getting $25 for $1000 requirement. Totally not worth it. You want the 4 Amex cards limit to be ones with good bonuses that suit your spending pattern and mileage rewards plus the most key important factor: Amex Offers. What you have now often determines how many of the same offers will be available to the cards you have.

4 credit cards. Most amexes are charge cards with no such limit.

I've got 10 Amex cards at the moment, only 2 are credit cards though.

( that said- yeah, this bonus sucks)
