Best BuyNote, a Best Buy account is required, and code/ instructions on how to redeem will be emailed to you within 1 hour. Looks like GCU does not work on this.

Nice price for those who are looking for these classic Pokemon Games, as they are currently $9.99 at Amazon [amazon.com]

Not really remastered per se, just updated to work on current hardware. Instead of needing a GBA Transfer Cable, you can transfer Pokemon with friends using the 3DS wifi. You can also transfer Pokemon caught in Red, Yellow, or Blue to other versions of more current Pokemon games using the Pokemon Bank app. For the $5 annual fee you can save up to 3,000 Pokemon online between all of your 3DS compatible games including the upcoming Sun and Moon.

Is this remastered or in any way different from original red/blue/yellow?

Note that of these 3 the only one in color is Pokemon Yellow.

I believe the only introduction is a new way to trade to current generations, other than that they are not remastered.

I'd say slick with GCU. But at $8, its kinda competitive with amazon, since you can use no rush credits.

They have the ability to trade and battle with other 3ds virtual consoles, which is pretty cool. Most other games that made use of the link cable and are now a virtual console do not support this. You will also be able to transfer Pok?mon from these games up to Sun and Moon once those games come out. All glitches still exist in the games. Red and Blue are monochromatic while yellow has some color since it was released for GBC.

What happens if we catch Missingno? Can we trade it or item duplicate too?

So nostalgic. But like many things from my childhood, I'll hold on to those memories rather than try to relive them 15-20 years later.. But thanks for posting, OP.
