Kodi on Google - Nexus Player Streaming Media Console

Behave 4,113 894 July 27, 2016 at 10:55 AM
I downloaded Kodi but unless I am missing something, what is so great about Kodi on the Google - Nexus Player Streaming Media Console? I see Kodi on jail broken Fire TVs on Ebay and they crow about it being the cat's meow. Should I expect that Kodi on the Google - Nexus Player Streaming Media Console should be the same experience as on a jallbroken amazon Fire TV 4K? What am I missing? Thanks!

It's for adding video sources. You can stream movies, many of them DVD or Bluray rips. people love it because you get to watch free movies (of questionable legality)

An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

I just got one of the Android set top boxes and it works but its a pain to use with the remote. I didn't find Kodi to be anything amazing either. Still learning I guess.

It can do it on anything that you can install Kodi on. I know it works on Computers, Android devices, such as phones, tablets, and Android Media streamers like the Fire TV. Don't know if you can put Kodi on Nexus streamer, but if you can then it will work the same as a Fire TV> Fire TV is so popular because it's $40.

Whatever device you're using it on, just search "best addons for Kodi" and you will find tutorials on how to install the most popular things.

If you're just trying to stream Youtube, radio, your own local content on your home network, or free streaming channels (like History Channel gives free episodes) then yes it's nothing amazing. The reason why it's so popular is becuase certain addons let you stream movies and live sports for free.
