Well... you did help me OP. I've been waiting for the MSI 1060 to come back in stock because I like their dual fan design. I just purchased this one at $250 since I refused to cave into the price gouging. Have a rep.

Set you alarm for about six months from now, and be prepared to hit snooze for another few months. Ain't gonna happen next week.

Three outputs total? WTF 1 HDMI 1 DP 1 DVI.... I thought it was bad when Asus did that crap with replacing the reference design of 1 HDMI and 3 DP with 2 HDMi and 2 DP in their 1060 and 1070 turbo series. At least they also reduced the price by $20-30 when they replaced one of your DP with an HDMI

Now MSI is cutting off even further by entirely removing the important 2 DP . And on top of that the price is no better than the other usual 1060?

I guess if you really don't care about the 2 missing DP, then go ahead if you have to have this like in the next 3 days, but this is complete BS!!!

Heh, wow there must be like a huge amount of people wanting 1060 and 0 supply. This is now OOS too. I cant believe they took out 2 DP and people still grabbing it like mad. What's next? having just 1 DP and 1 HDMI ? I am sure people will still buy it.

Hilarious and depressing at the same time

Honest question: Why is 2 DP vs 1 DP that important? I can't see this card being able to drive two 1440p/4k displays for gaming anyway. If you are only using two 1080p displays then the HDMI is fine too right?

My answer is just simply that they are effin straight up ripping the consumers. If you are going to delete the 2 DP, you need to significantly reduce your price. And this was obviously not a card with any reduced price at all.

Secondly , it's not just about game playability at 4K or if you can do 1080p on 4+ monitors. All video cards can be used just for straight up 2d display. Also all these new cards have excellent HEVC decoding and encoding so it's actually a great card for media pc

The reference design has 3 DP. They actually deleted 2 DP. So it's actually now 3 DP vs 1 DP. That's a significant reduction in ports for ZERO reduction in price. And this is what bothers me the most. So you also going from the ability to have 4 simultaneous displays to just 3 monitors at once and that is a significant capability reduction for ZERO reduction in price.

DP is important b/c most upcoming monitors will have DP and not as many has HDMI. Also DP 1.3 is much more futureproof than DVI or HDMI 2.0.

If anything, they should instead just lose the DVI port. Like the RX 480 which has 1 HDMI 2.0b and 3 DP .1.3 which is good...

So sick of how these manufacturers are ripping us consumers sometimes, And that people also actually being supportive of being ripped off.

Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to when a seller spikes the prices of goods, services or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair, and is considered exploitative, potentially to an unethical extent.

None of which is happening. So no, it's not price gouging.

Supply and demand, actually.
