This could be a good deal for the right person. Very similar specs to Nexus 6P which is currently $449.99 with equivalent storage. Free same day shipping for Prime members where available.

it's kind of a mixed bag... OP2 has more ram, better processor, more internal memory (than moto x on sale), while moto has expandable storage, quad HD screen (and bigger) screen. I wouldn't expect great after purchase service from either company at this point but think OP2 has a better chance of longer software support at this point.

I wouldn't expect great after purchase service from either company [ I think the moto will win here esp when compared to OP2] at this point but think OP2 has a better chance of longer software support at this point.

You're much better off w/ the Moto X Pure edition...

Product quality is absolutely horrible and the customer service is even worst.

Moto has also abandoned most phones, and only issues a mea culpa, here's a $1 discoun on your next moto phone

Seriously, at least OP has an active forum community. Moto is dead. Lenovo announced they won't issue monthly security patches outside of major os upgrades they aren't going to send out to most of their phones, X Pure included very soon. YMMV

Also OP2 camera is better than Moto X in my experience with still photos. I think for most people a Nexus 5X for similar money is a better long term buy... but I really like a lot of things OP brings to the table beyond the hype machine. Alert slider is even better than iPhone version, I prefer capacitive buttons and more screen space... it's a good deal for the right person. :-)

I've had the OP2 since last November, and while I would definitely encourage potential buyers to look for similar deals on the Moto X Pure, I've been pretty happy with this phone as a replacement for my 1st gen Moto X. Battery life is easily good for a day even with moderately heavy use, even with my bluetooth headphones for a couple hours a day and with my Android Wear watch in tow. I had some issues with freezing up initially, but they seem to have caught that in a recent OS update.

Where do you see the $250 for the Moto X on BH? I just checked BH and I saw only $300+

If you have a link to that deal I would like to see it.

Is OP ever going to put a microSD slot in?

I would hold off on getting the OP2, I have the OPO, and I stuck with it as the OP2 was just disappointing. I agree in that the OP3 is better choice if you have the money. It has taken me this long to get my OPO to be stable and that's by staying on CM12.1

Not a big fan of "Oxygen OS"

If all else fails, I'll take my business over to the ZenFone 3 Deluxe
