I miss when Oakley was an independent company and would give better sales, prior to them joining up with the monolithic Luxottica, who is the manufacturer and distributor of almost all the eyewear companies: Ray-Ban, Giorgio Armani, Coach, Bulgari, Michael Kors, Burberry, and much more. They also own a lot of the retail stores, which we buy these glasses: Oakley, Sunglass Hut, Sears Optical, Lens Crafters, Pearle Vision, Target Optical and others.

They might feel cheap and light, but they are extremely durable. I've sat on them (Flak Jackets) and placed heavy objects on them accidentally, and the worst that happens is that the lenses pop out. Pop them back in, and they are fine. I used the same frames for nearly three years before some @sshat decided to steal them from me.

look up the company Luxotica before you buy these glasses (and many many others).

Hint:they are all made by the same company aka monopoly. The only truly independent eyepiece manufacturer is Maui Jim.

because you probably buy the $20 foakleys off the skreet.

I agree they are def lightweight. They don't feel cheap at all but that's just my opinion..

I've had the same pair of flak jackets with the same lenses for 7 years now.. just sayin..

I actually have these exact sunglasses with prescription lenses.

Call your optometrist and ask them if they are able to do prescription Oakley lenses. I bought prescription straight jacket Oakleys, and then accidentally left them in my car seat and sat on them and broke the frame a month later. Oakley warranty support was crap, so I bought another pair of frames off their site and popped the lenses in.

Were you able to get polarized?
Might not be a bad deal if so, because I like those straight jackets...
