anyone ever use this, any good? thinking to get for my 9 year old.

Yes, it's pretty good for adults as well.
Need a net or a lot of balls.

and my nine-year-old son had fun with it. I'll use it too. Balls aren't coming at you very quickly, so it's not a great simulation of game play, but for getting the groove of a stroke, focusing on form, I'd say it's good.

Unfortunately, that model is no longer offered by Amazon.

Looks like price went up now.
I have this model.
It's good to practice at home as it's hard to find someone good to practice with.
It has very good top and back spin.
Even at half, it's more than most good guys' top/back spin so you have to adjust the strokes/angle accordingly.
I also bought two gross Stiga 1 star balls that lasts almost three times in the iPong.
However, if you don't have a catch net, whole floor will have balls and hard to even walk until collected. Big Grin
