That’s $70/mo for 8 GB data + 4 phones X $20/mo per line for a total of $150/mo.

$150/mo plus taxes & fees based on 4 smartphones purchased on device payment on new Verizon Plan L size. 8GB bonus data applied as 2GB bonus data/mo/line as long as line remains active on current new Verizon Plan size L (8GB) or above.

If you think this is a good price then Verizon has already won.

Total Wireless (Verizon), 4 lines with 15GB is $100. Extra data is $10/3GB so $150 would get you 30GB. Yes, LTE is throttled to 5mbit, but that more than anyone can actually use in the real-world. Don't get suckered into post-paid service.

my one phone will go though 8 gigs/mo just sitting idle. one teenager will burn through 8 gigs in about a week. it baffles me who this plan is marketed to and who would consider it a good deal

It baffles me that (1) you can go through 8GB without doing anything (WTF is wrong with your phone?) and (2) you let your teen go through 8GB a month - don't you have wifi? I'd say you must be out in the sticks not to have (essentially) unlimited land-based wifi service, but if you're downloading that much content you must be in civilization or you'd never get that kind of data speed over cell. I know - I live near WV, and if you get off the main roads, sending smoke signals has faster data than cell towers.

If you don't have a teenager then you have no clue. Even when there IS wifi teenagers don' remember to pay attention to whether or not they are connected to it. And when there is no wifi they pay attention even less.

The overage change will be more than your monthly payment. Watch out your Verizon Pokemon Go players

yeah, but there is still something wrong with your phone if it uses 8GB sitting idle. Go have it checked out or buy one that works right.

this man is correct.

Teenagers don't pay the bills and don't have a care in the world despite you always telling them to make sure they have wifi on at home etc

My teen sister at home will disconnect from WiFi because a video was taking a little longer to load or instagram wasn't going fast so she'll turn off wifi and go 4g lte data, forget to ever turn wifi back on and before you know it you get a message from verizon saying you are 90% into your data but the billing cycle doesn't start for 2 more weeks (aka you about to get overages on verizon because they are still stone age in billing)

I have a teenager and I set a limit of 3gb per month. She has learned to use wifi and rarely gets close to 3gb.

Want to teach that teenager to be a good adult? Make sure that the phone data gets shut off at 5gb. They'll figure out how to make do

wait until it's his/her 2nd year in college and he/she wants to spend 3 months in Europe.
the roaming charges will probably be equal to the student loan payments after graduation.
