Sorry if this is no the correct place for this post.

Today tried to use my wife's rewards to buy some 1c AR items on my account. Cashier scanned rewards and says sorry cant use this, the system says "Rewards Mis-Match".

Fun while it lasted

There is penny after rebate this week?

Rebates aren't tied to your staples reward account. Why didn't u just buy the items with your wife's card?

I would feel for you if I got rewards, or, should I say got expected or promised rewards.

Do not give your # at the register. Add them on line. If you only have enough rewards to buy just 1 ream, do that. It has to cost more to make 4 separate cards and mail them individually. 1 coupon per person on reams for me so 4 separate rebates to file and mail. Bring the kids, give them a coupon, add them to your account when you get home. File individual rebates. Most importantly make noise and slow the lines down. Civil disobedience. When they give you a hassle, the folks in line notice. It does not help the store image.

Its just a mater of time before this Nazi crap is all over anyway.. I stopped last month in frustration. Pass the word. Social media is what they fear the most. I wont go out of my way any more to shop there.

You should have used your wife's account (via her phone number on file). I don't believe this is a new policy. It's actually a security feature for the Staples Rewards customer (a stolen voucher can't be used by someone unauthorized to do so).

As for Staples in general, I haven't set foot in one for weeks. I go there only when I absolutely need something right now and not two days from now. Everything is higher priced unless on rebate. And customer service? LOL

Do ^this^ if you don't value your time.

If you think it costs them more to mail multiple rebate cards than they save by enforcing coupon limits, you are mistaken. The limits are clearly written on the coupon. If you get a coupon nazi, Stapling probably isn't meant to be for you. Slowing down lines and make noise to a cashier making minimum wage and doing their job (following terms of the coupon) make you look like the A-hole to all the customers behind you. Losing you (or any other Staplers out there(including me)) as a customer is better for their bottom line. wave
