Thanks for sharing, I can always use more paper. I wish it was a rebate to use up some of my rewards, I can't pass up a GREAT deal.

If I use a $10/$50 will that reduce my rewards value I get back. I plan on buying the batteries and paper together.

The batteries are for the week of 07/24. There is also a similar paper deal for the week of 07/24.

Per the terms of the program, paying for Rewards offers with Rewards, coupons or Merchandise Cards reduces the Rewards earned.

I have used a $10 off $50 in the past for fixed reward deals like this, and I have still gotten the full amount back in rewards. YMMV of course.

Does this qualify for the $10 minimum spend to earn ink cartridge recycle award?

Be careful with the new Office Depot rewards program. They changed it so you can only redeem in $10 increments. For example, if you buy 3 reams you will have earned $17.97 in rewards points, but will only be able to redeem $10 worth until you earn another $2.03 in rewards. Points expire at the end of each yearly quarter.

They used to give you the full amount before converting to a points system. I didn't realize the program changed recently and ended up only getting $20 out of the $27.98 in rewards for batteries I bought at the end of last quarter. Their rewards program has gone to shit now.

What you're saying is 100% true for OD reward points, however for this particular paper promotion, there will be a separate rewards certificate generated for the full rewards amount ($17.97 if you buy three reams).

Do you know how much times it takes for the points to show up in the account against the purchase made?

yes spend $10 OOP
Is ink recycling reward applicable on the same day of $10 or more qualifying purchase?

I am asking because I am thinking of making a purchase today (last day of the month) with reward points expiring today and with at least $10 OOP. Ink recycling needs to happen on the same month (thus by today) according to policy FAQ

"What do I get back for each cartridge recycled?

You get 200 points for each ink or toner cartridge that you recycle, up to 10 cartridges per month, when you make a $10 qualifying purchase the same month. You can recycle additional cartridges, but rewards will only be issued on 10."

Its same month and need not be same day.
For July month, today is last day of the month. You can do ink recycle and also min $10 spend. $2 for each ink cartridge (max 10).
Rewards are paid out with $10 incremental.

It depends on the type of offer:
  • Fixed rewards offers with separate payout -- the ream paper offer this week and last and last week's battery offer: There is no notice until the rewards certificates are made available. Recently OD has been making the rewards certificates available about a week after the offer ends.
  • Fixed rewards offers paid out as points -- the 3ream case paper offer this week and last: The fixed Rewards amount will post to the "Account Summary" as a line item under "Shopping Rewards" at some point. Not sure if the fixed Rewards amount will post to the "Purchase History" or "Purchase Details".
  • Percentage back in rewards (almost always paid out as points): The percentage back in Rewards points should post when the transaction posts.
