Actually, as weird as it sounds the spark isn't a bad thing. First off, it is very low energy and as a result, completely safe, even if it is unnerving. Additionally, it is indicative of extra input filtering which is a good thing. Most of these use small X and Y caps to filter high frequency noise from entering back into your household electrical lines. These caps can store charge for a VERY long time without self dissipating. Plug this charger back in, while the caps still have residual energy, and you will get a spark. The less input filtering, the less likely there is a spark. Even laptop power supplies will do this (both my dell and asus chargers did it regularly).

I have this exact USB wall charger from Anker. I can attest that it does spark on occasion. Both times as I plugged it into the wall outlet I saw a quick spark.

i have this charger - it's amazing as long as you don't need QC 3.X/2.X

each port provides up to 5V/2.4A (as per USB-A spec), and total power output is 24W so you can pull the max from both simultaneously.

would you say this charger can pull the most power for quickest charge? I have an anker powerbank and feel like my current wall usb charger isn't strong enough.

GREAT DEAL OP!

Approximately the size and weight of an Apple 12W charger (that comes with iPads), but with 2 USB ports.

I recently bought several of these (and the 4-outlet versions) for travel use to consolidate all of my cellphone / tablet / smartwatch /bluetooth accessories / power pack USB chargers. Not only do I have to bring fewer chargers, but this charger is dual-voltage (110-240) and tends to charge everything faster.

I just bought a few more for other frequent travelers in my family. bounce

No but this one for $1 more will. :-)

It is larger (could be a negative) and has 3 ports. 1 QC.
