The Shhh... Sleep in Seconds App is currently offered for free in the iOS appstore. Normally priced at $3.99.

https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1077226747

Description:
Insomnia? Busy mind? Can't sleep? Us too. That's why we created Shhh - the app that helps you get to sleep faster, when you need it most.

Sometimes you wake up at 3AM because Jeff needs that quarterly report tomorrow. Maybe you have a newborn and your lunch break is your only chance for a power nap. You took the red-eye to Phoenix, but the kid in 3C is using your seat back as a punching bag.

Life is full of challenges. Falling asleep shouldn't be one of them.

We could tell you we spent many years and hundreds of thousands of dollars researching audio frequencies, sound engineering, and healing (which is true). But who cares? The important thing is we made an app that lets you fall asleep easier, faster, and better than any other method. Even alcohol (we tested this)!

If you're tired, we can help you fall asleep in seconds. Just download the free Shhh app, plug in your headphones, and tell the world to Shhh.

Apparently I'm on a family plan because I just gave you 4 rep points and 3 thumbs up. I'm looking forward to trying this out... just testing it now I wanted to crawl back in bed... and to the guy posted above me... it's similar to white noise, but it oscillates a bit... and I hear some "ticks" also. The reviews suggest that this is supposed to sort of trick you into forgetting your worries that keep you up at night... I figure it's worth a shot.

I have some other sleeping apps that are better than nothing. When traveling I don't want to pack a fan just so I can sleep in a noisy hotel, and the other sleep apps go a long way helping that... and this should take it to the next level. Here's hoping.

Do people actually sleep with headphones on, or it is just me who finds it weird?

A sleep app without a sleep timer.

Pretty sure the nap mode is track 1 on the movie eraser head's sound track

Probably an audio track of someone saying "You are getting sleepy" set right at the threshold of human hearing like subliminal messages!

Then a month from now when the update comes out they change it to "Buy our in app purchase"!

not sure if this is a rhetorical question but I do occasionally fall asleep with headphones. I mentioned that to a friend of mine who thought it was weird and was afraid I was going to strangle myself in my sleep.
