Not with these specs. If it is cheaper, can you post a pc part picker configuration?

Ah c'mon. You can even make your own shoes cheaper than a store. Who needs pants? Push your car it saves on gas and it's a great workout.

The 1080, CPU, ram and Mobo alone would run close to 1200.

I think it is actually a good deal...

HOWEVER... I feel like anyone planning to drop this kind of money on a PC would be wanting to make their own at this price point... definitely a good package component wise and some good freebies with it... in for 4! I wish Frown

I respectfully disagree. I have been a pc gamer for years and love looking up pc parts, but when it comes to actually putting them together, I suck. My cable management is terrible, I always apply too much thermal paste, etc. My last pc was about $1200 from iBuyPower and I could not have been happier. I might be a minority in this case though.

Price of this build can be reduced by using the 5% Coupon code GEEKS. Also in Ram, instead of Corsair or major brands, choose Adata XPG Z1.

I think it is cheaper to build.

Recent deal for 6700K with mobo was $400.

There is a deal with 16GB and mobo and 6700K for $420.

Given the retail price of $599. That puts everything critical at $1020.

Get standard brand name 80+ PSU at $60 and SSD for around $200 you are looking at $1300.

Look for a decent but low cost case and mouse and keyboard you are at $1400 or so.

Throw in a water cooled setup and bluray burner for another $100 and you are $1500.

Window 10 can be had for pretty cheap.

So it is still cheaper if you build provided you find the GTX 1080 at retail price. Wait a bit and might see the 1080 discounted.

Note I assumed the SSD is $200. Most can be had for less. Maybe around $120-150 price range for 1/2 TB capacity.
Also if you already have a keyboard or whatnot that can save you more money.

PC Part Picker build [pcpartpicker.com](some replacements because I couldn't find them, but equivalent price):

With rebates and discounts, comes to $1622 if you build this yourself, and that doesn't include the mouse, keyboard, wifi adapter, and headset.

I'm thinking this is a good deal.

Good deal. One of the few pc deals in which I see a SSD included. Would add another HD there just for some extra storage.
