I've been looking for this monitor after ordering a new gaming rig. It seems to be the best option out there for G-Sync, 144Hz, and 1440p all together. Though this is the same price as Best Buy (and they seem to drop it down to $450 somewhat regularly now), for me it saves sales tax which makes up for that, plus I have some Amazon gift cards ready to burn. Thanks for the find!

This monitor has crap colors according to reviews. I don't know why people get so crazy over gsync or any of the syncs. It's nice to have but I wouldn't pay the $200 premium for it that Nvidia asks. Playing at 144hz with motion blur reduction is better than playing with any of the sync technologies. If you want the effect, just turn on triple buffering and vsync. You get more input lag but unless you are a pro CS player, you can't tell the difference.

I own this monitor and the colors are actually pretty good. I replaced an IPS and am not regretting it. It DID need some calibration out of the box (default settings are TERRIBLE) but once that was done, it became really hard to tell the difference.

Also, if you're really into gaming, I think the G-Sync is well worth the money. Games are soooooo smooth it's ridiculous.

G-sync sounds amazing. The feature seems to add a $150-$200 premium on some monitors though. I can't bring myself to pay that when I look at the premium relative to the overall price of the monitor. I feel like I'm being extorted.

I'm hoping to see some of the higher end G-Sync IPS monitors drop in price. Otherwise, once AMD comes out with something comparable to Nvidia's top cards right now, I'll probably sell my GTX 1070 and jump ship to AMD where Freesync monitors can be had for a much more reasonable price.

I'm seeing $699 at BestBuy right now. I guess it must have gone up.

Great price but all these Generation 1 GSYNC panels are TN panels so you have been warned. Also make sure your Graphics card is Compatible just because you buy a 144hz monitor does not mean that's what you will get out of it.

Your display is the #1 most important purchase it's what you look at all day here is where you invest in a high quality monitor

The money you save by going with free sync will not be near the amount you will spend on a new graphics card, motherboard and cpu.

I'm a little confused by your post. Why would I be buying a new motherboard and cpu if I were switching video cards from Nvidia to AMD? They all use the same the PCI-E slot.

I will likely take a loss on selling my Nvidia card used and buying a similarly specced AMD down the road (once they're released) but it's a price I'm willing to pay on principle. I feel like I'm being swindled and feeding into a company's greed when I pay that much for G-Sync, relative to the price of the monitor.

I understand there are R&D costs but to pay a huge premium for one feature like that? I won't do it, not at current prices.

I purchased this and a Acer Predator XB271HU roughly around 1 month ago to see which one I liked and did not liked. Even with over an hour of color calibration - this could not get anywhere near the acer. It was just day and night. Now I understand most folks (including myself) are on a budget and trying to save that Almighty Dollar but I could not grow to love TN over IPS. Having both monitors running on a gtx1080 with duplicate displays and after 2 weeks of solid reviewing and critiquing I had to ship back this and kept the Acer. I'd rather forego my next 100+ days of daily morning cup of joe just to compensate for the $200 price difference. For those saying that the colors are great on this TN based monitor and that IPS isn't worth the extra cash, well that's great but far from the truth. Perhaps it's the natural response to defending one's own purchase, and I don't blame them at all - in trying to justify saving a few bills. But for me YOLO, and I'd save up and go for the IPS option. That's just my 2 cents.
